Mark began his career with the Government of Nova Scotia in 1988 and has more than 36 years of public service experience, including senior positions. Presently, he serves as the Associate Deputy Minister for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Prior to this role, Mark served as Chief Executive Officer for the Joint Regional Transportation Agency. He served as Associate Deputy Minister of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Housing and CEO of the Nova Scotia Provincial Housing Agency. Throughout his career, Mark has seen firsthand the power of collaborative work and its benefits.
He has also held previous roles as CEO of the Nova Scotia Municipal Financial Corporation (NSMFC). Past Chair of the NSMFC and has chaired the Provincial Territorial Officials Committee for two terms.
